Qualifications

• 2+ years in software engineering with a degree in Computer Science or a related STEM discipline.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or C++, with practical experience in local model hosting, tool integration, and agentic workflows.
• Experience with next-gen development tools (Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) and configuring autonomous coding agents.
• Business fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin for regional collaboration.
• Active GitHub presence or open-source work showcasing applied LLM and agent architecture.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end design and execution of core AI platforms, focusing on custom agent runtimes, tool hubs, and MCP integrations.
• Build intelligent data pipelines using open-source tools and self-hosted LLMs to turn documents into insights.
• Set the benchmark for AI-native software development and mentor on coding agents and context management.
• Own system design, technical specs, troubleshooting, and CI/CD for production-ready software.

About our client:

A leading regional Asset Management firm in Hong Kong is expanding its core technology team. They are looking for a hands-on AI Engineer to lead the end-to-end design and continuous enhancement of the enterprise AI infrastructure, including custom Agent framework, Skills platform, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations.

This is an ideal role for an engineer who thrives at the intersection of modern software engineering and agentic workflows, leveraging local open-weight models, AI-assisted development, and structured document processing to solve real-world financial scenarios.

The Role:

• Drive the end-to-end design and execution of our core AI platforms, focusing on custom agent runtimes, tool execution hubs, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations.


• Build intelligent data pipelines utilizing open-source tools (e.g., MinerU, RAGFlow, N8N) and self-hosted LLMs to turn unstructured documents into actionable business insights.


• Set the benchmark for AI-native software development—mentoring the team on coding agents, context management, and modern developer productivity practices.


• Take complete technical ownership of system design, technical specs, troubleshooting, and CI/CD pipelines to deliver resilient, production-ready software.

The Person:

• 2+ years in software engineering with a degree in Computer Science or a related STEM discipline.

• Daily experience using next-gen development tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot) and configuring autonomous coding agents.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $55,000.00 per month
