Job summary

Bybit in Hong Kong is seeking an eager intern for data governance and AI data-platform work. You will explore governance approaches, build AI-assisted validation, and automate data quality and metadata workflows on real datasets.

Ideal candidates have SQL, Python, and data warehouse knowledge, plus exposure to Spark/Flink/Hive and LLM tooling. This is a 3-month, on-site internship with Mandarin language requirements.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate student in CS, DS, Statistics or related field.
• Solid proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Understanding of data warehouse fundamentals.
• Experience with Spark / Flink / Hive / StarRocks is a plus.
• Hands-on with LLM app development: LangChain, LlamaIndex, MCP.
• Able to distill governance pain points into defined MVP criteria.
• Self-driven and comfortable with ambiguity.
• Fluent English reading and clear written communication.
• Minimum 3-month internship, 5 days/week on-site.
• Fluent Mandarin is required.

Responsibilities

• Research & Benchmarking AI + data governance approaches; propose a best-practice adaption to our stack.
• Data Model Governance: build AI-assisted model review and lineage-aware validation.
• Metric Semantic Automation: extract, standardize and resolve metric definitions across reports.
• Data Quality Automation: auto-generate quality rules and anomaly detection with lineage.
• MVP Delivery: execute end-to-end from problem to deployment on real data domain.
• Documentation & Communication: present designs, methodologies and results to stakeholders.
