AIA is seeking an experienced actuary to lead actuarial valuation and financial reporting efforts. The role requires strong analytical, communication and multitasking abilities across complex insurance products and IFRS 17 frameworks.

You will manage budgeting, forecasting and KPI analyses, while ensuring robust governance, controls and audit trails. The incumbent may engage in process enhancements and ad-hoc financial assessments as needed.

Formación

• University / College graduate in Actuarial Science or related disciplines.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.
• Good progress in Actuarial professional examination.
• Sound analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
• Ability to deal with multiple priorities.
• Experience with insurance products and actuarial reporting.
• Knowledge in IFRS 17 / HKRBC / economic capital is an asset.
• Proficiency in actuarial software, e.g. Prophet is an advantage.
• License required if the job involves regulated activities.

Responsabilidades

• Actuarial Valuation: Manage EV and VONB financial reporting on a regular basis, review analyses and identify key drivers for results.
• Financial Management: Lead budgeting, forecasting and KPI reviews to support Group objectives; assess impact of assumption changes.
• Governance & Controls: Ensure clear audit trails for data, models, assumptions and analysis to support high-quality results.
• Process Enhancement: Improve reporting processes and tools; pursue automation and efficiency gains.
• Ad-hoc Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analyses to assess financial implications.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Actuarial Valuation: Manage EV and VONB financial reporting on regular basis, and ensure timely and high quality deliverables; Review the detailed analysis and assist in identifying the underlying key drivers for the financial results; Support the auditor engagement for financial reporting
• Financial Management: Manage the team to prepare the annual budget exercise, perform regular forecast on financial KPIs, highlight the risks and opportunities as part of financial management for meeting Group’s financial objectives; Assess the impacts from assumption changes to facilitate the decisions
• Governance & Controls: Manage the team to ensure best practice for process & controls, ensure the team maintain clearly documented audit trail of actuarial valuations including data, models, assumptions and analysis to support the delivery of high-quality financial results and analysis
• Process Enhancement: Support the continuous improvement in reporting process, including enhancement in systems, tools, process and controls; Identify areas on improving the efficiency and optimizing the reporting process through process enhancement and automation
• Ad-hoc Analysis: Manage the ad-hoc analysis, deep-dive analysis or impact assessment to reveal the financial implications

Minimum Job Requirements
