Job summary
A leading recruitment agency in the UK is seeking an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a small, friendly team in Bicester. The role involves fault-finding and repairing both electrical and mechanical systems, maintaining plant equipment, and occasionally interacting with customers. Ideal candidates will possess strong industrial machinery expertise and excellent communication skills. Competitive salary of up to £44,000 with benefits including 25 days holiday and a pension plan.

Skills
Location: Bicester, Oxfordshire. Salary: Up to £44,000 per year. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm. Benefits: 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays, 5% pension.
We are looking for an experienced Multi‑Skilled Maintenance Engineer with both electrical and mechanical skills to join our small, friendly team. This is a varied, hands‑on role working in a cleanroom environment and across our facilities.
- Fault‑finding and repairing electrical systems (motors, inverters, panels) with and without diagrams.
- Carrying out mechanical maintenance on pumps, bearings, valves, chains, etc.
- Maintaining plant equipment, machinery, and facilities (HVAC, lighting, sockets, general repairs).
- Occasionally speaking with customers about products coming in for repair.
- Supporting and mentoring less experienced engineers.
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
- Experience working on industrial machinery (manufacturing background ideal).
- Able to work independently with confidence.
- Good communication skills; team fit is important.
- Work includes time in an ultra‑cleanroom (full suit provided) and general workshop areas.
- Small team: 1 Engineering Manager, 2 Service Engineers, 2 Plant Engineers.
- We make bespoke products for environmental monitoring and validation of sterilisation processes no heavy or FMCG machinery.
