Civil Engineering Project Lead - On-Site (Birmingham)
Job summary
A civil engineering consultancy is looking for an Assistant Engineering Manager for complex civil projects based in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and experience leading project teams. Responsibilities include managing project delivery, ensuring compliance with standards, and mentoring junior staff. This role offers an hourly rate of £50-£57 depending on experience, and requires on-site work.
Qualifications
- Chartered engineer status or actively working towards it.
- Experience as an Assistant Engineering Manager or related role.
- Experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Manage, plan, and coordinate civil engineering projects.
- Assist the Engineering Manager in leading the team.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Work with contractors and stakeholders for alignment.
- Oversee technical reports and design deliverables.
- Nurture engineering processes and quality standards.
