A local government authority in England is seeking a Care Purchasing Co-ordinator to manage care packages for Adult Social Care clients. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work autonomously under pressure. Ideal candidates should have experience in supplier invoicing and proficiency in Microsoft Office. This position offers a part-time schedule with varied responsibilities and a supportive team environment.
Salary: Band: 6, £28,239 - £32,061 p.a, (£14,119 - £16,030 for 18.5 hours)
Hours: 18.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday - hours to be worked 8:30 am - 12:15 pm, 9:30 am-1:15 pm.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a busy and varied workload where no two days are the same.
Working in the Health & Adult Social Care, Care Purchasing team, you will be responsible for arranging packages of care for Adult Social Care clients with care providers when directed. Providing a high level of customer service, you will create and send to providers the contract order form and be responsible for the timely and accurate recording of all orders for all care packages commissioned. In addition, you will liaise with Adult Social Care and providers to resolve queries and make amendments to care packages to reflect changes in care needs.
With good interpersonal skills, you will have confidence in dealing with and liaising with practitioners and external care providers. With a strong attention to detail and the ability to plan and prioritise your workload, you will be able to work autonomously whilst under pressure and to deadlines. A team player you will have knowledge of the process of raising purchasing orders and supplier invoicing and be competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications. There will be occasions when you will be required to juggle commissioning more than one package/resolving problems/queries at a time.
As an Care Purchasing Co-ordinator I play a central role in organising the care for Adult Social Care clients.
On a daily basis I am required to demonstrate the ability to work confidently and effectively, prioritising my workload and speaking directly with internal and external individuals.
