Do you love the idea of getting out on site, building relationships and working closely with different teams to make a real impact? We’re looking for a passionate Risk & Compliance Manager to join our Primary Logistics team in Scotland.

In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in shaping and driving the Compliance, Risk, and Health & Safety strategy across Diageo Global Supply - ensuring our operations consistently meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory excellence.

Please note: this role requires regular travel to our Shieldhall (Glasgow) and Leven (Fife) sites, typically 1-2 days per week at each location.

If you thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy variety in your week and want to make a meaningful difference across multiple sites, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

About the Function

Our Supply Chain and Manufacturing team are problem‑solvers, sourcing, producing, and delivering our much‑loved brands to delight customers around the globe. Over half of Diageo’s 30,000+ people work in Supply Chain and Manufacturing. It’s an intricate and sophisticated operation that’s the product of logistical, manufacturing, and technical collaborations.

Our teams in 100 sites in over 30 countries cover production facilities, supplier relationships, customer collaborations and third‑party agreements. We’re committed to realising our ‘Society 2030: Spirit of Progress’ goals, to protect the environment and support our farmers and suppliers. Whatever your skills and experience, we’ll help you to thrive in our inclusive culture.

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and strategic Compliance, Risk and Health & Safety Manager to join our Primary Logistics team in Scotland, based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh, with regular travel to our Shieldhall and Leven sites.

In this role you will shape and drive the Compliance, Risk and Health & Safety strategy across Diageo Global Supply, ensuring our operations meet the highest standards of safety, quality and regulatory compliance. As a member of the Primary Logistics Leadership Team and the Crisis Management teams, you will play a key role in safeguarding Diageo’s people, brands and reputation.

You will support the creation of a dynamic Health & Safety programme for our onsite 3PL partners, working closely with Category Teams, Logistics Contract Managers and other H&S Managers within Global Brand Supply to standardise processes, lead risk and drive compliance. Your influence will extend across operations, helping Diageo continue its journey to become the most trusted and respected consumer goods company in the world.

The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, practical mentorship, and innovative solutions across H&S, Compliance, and Risk management, ensuring end‑to‑end performance, operational resilience, and a safe working environment for all.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the onsite 3PL Health & Safety programme, setting the standard for safety and compliance across Primary Logistics.
  • Ensure Diageo’s Quality Strategy for logistics effectively handles customer concerns with robust corrective actions.
  • Develop and supervise the Primary Logistics (Scotland) risk mitigation plan, including ownership of Business Continuity Plans (BCP) for cyber, 3PL, and onsite operations.
  • Drive logistics innovation, using technology and digital solutions to enhance safety and operational performance.
  • Define and supervise critical metrics for Health & Safety and Customer Concerns, focusing on both leading and lagging indicators.
  • Carry out ongoing external benchmarking to identify trends and guidelines in the broader logistics sector, improving processes, strategy, and technology.

This is an exciting opportunity to combine critical thinking with hands‑on operational impact, making a real difference to Diageo’s safety, compliance, and reputation across Scotland.

About You

We are looking for a collaborative and forward‑thinking Compliance Manager who is passionate about creating a safe, compliant and successful logistics environment. You are someone who thrives with influencing and supporting others, bringing clarity, strategy and practical solutions to complex challenges.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Experienced or qualified in a relevant field, with a degree or equivalent experience and a desire to grow and share your expertise.
  • Confident in your knowledge of logistics and manufacturing, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • A strategic problem‑solver with a track record of delivering results, leading change and contributing to future‑focused initiatives.
  • A strong communicator who can engage, influence and build positive relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  • Approachable and supportive, able to provide guidance in a clear, practical and inclusive way.
  • Knowledgeable in risk management, Business Continuity Planning (BCP), and Health & Safety requirements, and committed to role‑modeling safe practices every day.
  • Energetic, collaborative and a true teammate, leading by example and inspiring those around you.
  • Comfortable engaging with large operations, presenting ideas clearly, and driving meaningful improvements.

We are looking for someone who is ready to make a difference, bring fresh ideas, and help us continue to build a culture of trust, safety, and excellence across Diageo’s Primary Logistics operations.
