A local council in Scotland is seeking Night Shift Care Assistants to provide personal care and support to residents at Crosslet House. Applicants must demonstrate excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and hold or be willing to obtain relevant qualifications. The posts are part-time the salary will be pro-rata to the number of hours worked (additionally nightshift allowance will be paid at 33%)

We are looking for Dynamic and Caring, Night Shift Care Assistants, to provide personal care and support to residents as directed by senior staff. To maintain a clean, fresh and homely environment, providing person centred care for individuals and groups of residents consistent with their needs through the provision of a range of duties including personal care and meaningful activities.
You will support residents throughout the day to maintain their independence, assist and support them as required.
You will engage and listen to Residents preferences in how they would like to be cared for. Your role will include responding to enquiries from a wide range of people, including families and health professionals.
To undertake this role effectively, you must be able to demonstrate excellent communication, problem solving and people skills. You should have the SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF level 6 or SVQ 2 Health and Social Care or be willing to undertake this within 3 months.
We are looking for an organised individual with a positive, can-do approach and be able to work well under pressure with Senior Supports.
This post is considered a Regulated Role with Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here. Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
