A well-established Refrigeration/Air Conditioning business seeks an experienced Refrigeration Engineer for diverse tasks involving various refrigeration equipment. Formation
We are currently recruiting for a well-established National Refrigeration/Air Conditioning business with over 30 years of experience and an annual turnover exceeding £10 million. The company employs approximately 140 staff, including 100 engineers.
Due to business growth, they are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Engineer capable of working on a wide range of refrigeration equipment, including:
- Splits
- VRV systems
- Walk-in chillers and freezers
- Commercial refrigerators
- Cellar cooling
- Ice machines
The starting salary is £40,800 per annum, with regular overtime earning an additional £1,000-2,000+ monthly. The role involves an on-call rota, one week in four, including one night per week. The coverage area is the SL postcode.
The ideal candidate:
- Is F-Gas certified and holds NVQ 2 or City & Guilds in Refrigeration
- Has a full driving license
- Has previous experience as a Field or Service Engineer in refrigeration
Benefits include:

- Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm
- Overtime at 1.5x evenings and Saturdays, 2x mornings and Sundays
- Monthly recognition awards with around £500 bonuses
- On-call pay of £125, one in four weeks, including weekends and nights
- 23 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, increasing to 25 days with service
