Job summary
A leading global financial firm is seeking a Senior Manager (or Manager) of Indirect Tax to join their expanding team in the UK. The role involves leading indirect tax strategy and compliance across global market activities. Candidates should have experience in commodities and trading, and be prepared for a hands-on role. Remote work is possible, and visa sponsorship is available.
Qualifications
- Experience with indirect tax in physical commodities, derivatives, energy, or metals.
- Experience from tax practice or in-house roles.
- Willingness to relocate or ability to work remotely.
Responsibilities
- Lead indirect tax strategy, compliance, and advisory.
- Ensure correct VAT / GST treatment across commodity flows.
- Manage multi-jurisdiction trading flows and supply chain structuring.
Skills
A leading global financial and commodities firm is recruiting a Senior Manager (or Manager), Indirect Tax, to join their expanding tax team in the UK. The team arescaling up and seeking a senior indirect tax specialist to lead on transactions and commodity flows globally.
- Spearhead indirect tax strategy, compliance and advisory across global market, commodity and trading activities.
- Ensure correct VAT / GST treatment across physical commodity flows, derivatives, shipping, logistics, hedging and trading structures.
- Manage cross-border tax issues, multi-jurisdiction trading flows, supply chain structuring and tax recovery.
- Engage with tax authorities and external advisors on indirect tax audits, rulings and controversies
- Essential : Commodities / Trading Experience hands-on exposure to indirect tax in physical commodities, derivatives, energy, metals, or related markets -
- Experience either from tax practice (Big 4 or boutique advisory) or in-house / industry roles is welcome.
- Based in the UK (remote work possible) or willing to relocate; visa sponsorship is supported.
