A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Principal Nuclear Safety Engineer to provide safety assurance support for nuclear facilities. The role involves managing nuclear safety compliance and conducting various hazard assessments. The ideal candidate will have an Honours Degree in a relevant field and demonstrate strong leadership and technical skills. This position allows for remote work from anywhere in the UK and offers competitive salary ranges.
Principal Nuclear Safety Engineer
Salary: Engineer (35k-60k), Senior (60k-70k), Principal (70k-90k), Chief (90k-110k)
Locations: Can be based anywhere in the UK
Clearance Required: clearable (5 years residency in UK)
The role will entail providing safety assurance support during the design, construction, operation and decommissioning of nuclear facilities. You will support our client in managing nuclear safety and ensuring compliance with the Site Licence Conditions and will typically provide technical leadership for:
Other key aspects of the role will include mentoring others in a technical capacity, assisting in the production of bids and proposals, and implementing and contributing to safety initiatives. You will also liaise with operators, designers and clients, building a strong relationship with them.
