Skills
Our client, one of the UK’s leading providers of Asset Based Lending solutions, seeks an experienced Underwriting professional to join their high-performing credit team in the South of England.
The role involves acting as a conduit between the new business team and the credit committee, assessing credit applications in line with the company’s credit policy. Responsibilities include collateral assessment, financial forecasting, and in-depth analysis of complex financial accounts. Deal sizes typically range from £5m to £50m.
This position requires close collaboration with business development and risk teams to negotiate and structure complex lending transactions, ensuring effective processes are in place. A strong understanding of financial accounting and its practical application in business lending is essential.
The ideal candidate will have previous underwriting experience within this or a related industry, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial information. Strong communication skills are necessary to confidently support your views.
Occasional travel around the country may be required.
