About the Role

Are you an experienced, passionate, and confident practitioner with the tenacity and resilience to support, challenge and motivate a multi-agency workforce? If so, we have multiple permanent roles available to network with a discipline of external partners and agencies across Leicestershire to ensure Early Help is embedded across schools, health, housing, police and more!

If you would like the opportunity to join this new and exciting team, please ensure you showcase your experiences, skills and knowledge within Early Help services. Please include how you will engage partners in your vision of implementing Early Help support across Leicestershire to ensure we are giving families the right help at the right time. We are looking for a child focussed, trauma informed and inclusive approach to empowering our partners and colleagues to provide robust Early Help and support.

An enhanced DBS check is required for this post.

About You

To apply for this post, you must:

  • Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject, e.g. social care, health or childcare, OR substantial experience in providing direct support to families that clearly demonstrates the experience, skills, competencies and knowledge outlined below.
  • Experience of working with partners and of co‑ordinating agency responses in complex cases to achieve positive outcomes for families with complex needs.
  • Knowledge and awareness of issues which may have an impact on the lives of families such as domestic violence and abuse, mental health difficulties, substance misuse, poverty, housing. To include an understanding of, and compliance with, information sharing protocols and confidentiality.
  • A good knowledge of child development and of interventions that promote children's learning and development and an understanding of issues relating to school readiness, transitions and school attendance.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire colleagues from a range of agencies to work together in the best interests of families, service providers and the wider community.
  • Proven ability to recognise Child Protection issues and Safeguarding practice.
  • You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
