A leading logistics provider is seeking a Transport Shift Manager to oversee transport operations and manage a team in Greater London. This full-time role involves ensuring compliance, coaching drivers, and improving operational efficiency. Candidates should have experience in managing transport teams in fast-paced environments. The position offers a competitive salary of up to £43,387 plus benefits, including a pension scheme and private medical insurance.
Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Transport Shift Manager to join our team in Greenford on our Greene King contract. You will play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective running of the transport operation while managing a small team of direct reports and handling HR processes. The role is full‑time, permanent, with a 5‑out‑of‑7 shift pattern rotating between AM (04:00‑12:00) and PM (12:00‑20:00). Some flexibility may be required during peak times.
• Experience in managing a team of drivers around transport and process compliance.
• Previous experience working in a fast‑paced transport team, preferably with exposure to temperature‑controlled deliveries, transport compliance and the Working Time Directive (desirable).
