Overview

A lovely family based in Southfields, London, seeks a fantastic live-out nanny to start mid-November. There are two possible schedules that the parents are open to: either 7am-12pm or 7am-6pm, Monday through Friday. No travel will be required.

Responsibilities

This is as position for a knowledgeable, warm and professional nanny who can be flexible around the family's needs and who brings a calm and confident approach. The successful candidate will be working alongside Mum and helping with the care of a 4-month-old and a 2-year-old. Responsibilities will include:

  • All aspects of infant and toddler care, to include general nursery duties, including ensuring nap and feeding schedules are adhered to etc
  • Preparing purees and baby food, supporting the eventual weaning process
  • Creating an engaging and stimulating environment that promotes healthy development for both children and ensures that behavioural milestones are met
  • Planning developmentally appropriate activities and outings
  • Meal prep for the children, and also preparing an evening meal for the whole family)
  • Light housekeeping for the household - laundry and ironing, keeping the kitchen sides clear, emptying dishwasher etc
  • Bringing a positive, flexible and cheerful demeanour to the home
  • Some household errands, eg grocery shopping, popping to the dry cleaners etc
  • Supporting daily routines, including some nursery drop offs and pick ups, nap schedules, activities, classes
Requirements
  • Excellent communicator
  • Calm, kind and nurturing personality with a pitch-in mentality
  • Hands on and resourceful but able to recognise when to give the family space and privacy
  • Experience with a similar age is essential and longevity in previous roles is preferred
  • Sterling, verifiable references
  • Some flexibility to work around changing schedules (one of the principals travels regularly)
  • Fantastic work-ethic: motivated, full of initiative, fun and cheerful!
  • Familiar with the area around Southfields and with what it has to offer
