Job summary

Scruffy Dog Creative Group is seeking a skilled ZBrush Artist to produce detailed 3D models and digital sculpts based on approved concepts and references. You will work within an established production pipeline to deliver production-ready assets that meet artistic and technical standards.

The role requires solid ZBrush experience, strong sculpting and modelling skills, and the ability to translate 2D designs into 3D assets while collaborating with designers and production teams.

Qualifications

• Proven professional experience using ZBrush in a production environment.
• Strong digital sculpting and modelling skills.
• Good understanding of anatomy, form, proportion and surface detail.
• Ability to translate 2D concepts into detailed 3D assets.
• Experience creating hard-surface and organic models.
• Good understanding of modelling, topology and 3D production workflows.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating professional ZBrush work.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D sculpts and models using ZBrush.
• Develop characters, creatures, props and architectural details as required by projects.
• Interpret concept artwork, drawings, reference material and creative briefs.
• Produce high-quality sculpts while maintaining the required level of detail and accuracy.
• Work from existing designs and concepts rather than independently defining the overall creative direction.
• Prepare and refine models for integration into wider production pipelines.
• Create clean and efficient topology where required.
• Work with other 3D software packages such as Maya, 3ds Max, Blender or equivalent where appropriate.
• Collaborate with designers, concept artists, 3D artists and production teams.
• Respond positively to feedback and make revisions within agreed deadlines.
• Maintain organised files and follow project naming, version control and production procedures.
• Ensure work is delivered to the required quality, specification and schedule.
• Support the wider production team where required.
