Firstunion is seeking a data-oriented analyst to support data collection, cleansing, and reporting. The role involves producing weekly operational analyses, tracking campaign performance, and conducting market research to inform marketing efforts.

The candidate should have a strong foundation in Excel, SQL, Python or R, and data visualization, with internship exposure in FMCG/retail helping contextualize analyses. This is an entry-to-mid level opportunity based in the UK market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above
• Majors in economics, statistics, or related fields preferred
• Excel proficiency including advanced functions (IFS, VLOOKUP) for data cleaning and preliminary modeling
• SQL/Python/R: able to extract data with SQL and process/visualize with Python or R
• Data visualization: present conclusions clearly with charts, not just numbers
• Experience with BI/data visualization tools preferred
• Internship experience in FMCG, retail, or channel-related fields preferred

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above；
• Majors in economics, statistics, or related fields preferred；
• Excel proficiency is a must: not only pivot tables, but also advanced functions such as IFS and VLOOKUP for data cleaning and preliminary modeling；
• SQL/Python/R: Able to use SQL for data extraction and group-by analysis; able to use Python or R for data processing, cleaning, and visualization；
• Data visualization: Able to clearly and intuitively present business conclusions with charts (whether Excel charts or those generated by programming tools), rather than piling up numbers；
• Experience with BI tools / data visualization tools preferred；
• Internship experience in FMCG, retail, or channel-related fields preferred；

Nice-to-have:

• AI tool usage: Familiar with and have used AI tools such as GPT to assist data analysis and improve efficiency;
• Legal right to work in the UK; UK driving license ((Not mandatory).
