Are you an enthusiastic and motivated Youth Worker wanting a more flexible work schedule? ABC Teachers are currently recruiting cover supervisors working across Derby and surrounding areas. The role can be both full and part time to suit your needs on a flexible basis.

About the role

As a Cover Supervisor you will:

  • Supervise work that has been set in accordance with the school policy.
  • Manage the behaviour of pupils while they are undertaking this work to ensure a constructive environment.
  • Respond to any questions from pupils about process and procedures.
  • Deal with any immediate problems or emergencies according to the school s policies and procedures.
  • Collect any completed work after the lesson and returning it to the appropriate teacher.
  • Report back as appropriate using the school s agreed referral procedures on the behaviour of pupils during the class, and any issues arising.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Youth Worker you will:

  • Minimum of 5 days experience working in sole charge of a group of children in the last 10 years.
  • Have strong communication skills with the ability to quickly built a good rapport with students and staff.
  • A passion for working with children, in a calm and authoritative manner.
  • Hold or willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check.
Salary and qualifications

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Minimum of 5 days experience working in sole charge of a group of children in the last 10 years.
