Job summary

A leading educational institution is seeking a Youth Tutor in Cwmbran to inspire and support young people through the Jobs Growth Wales Plus initiative. Responsibilities include delivering engaging lessons and creating lesson plans to help learners achieve their qualifications. Ideal candidates will have experience as a tutor or mentor and related qualifications. This position offers a full-time contract with numerous benefits including healthcare and annual leave.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a tutor, trainer, or mentor for young people.
  • Experience working with NEET individuals.
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification or Degree equivalent.
  • GCSE in Maths & English (Grade C / Level 5+).
  • Ability to plan lessons and assess learner progress.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver training sessions using varied teaching methods.
  • Create lesson plans with differentiated activities.

  • Motivate and engage NEET learners in a positive environment.

Youth Tutor - Cwmbran

Salary : £24,638 - £26,780

Contract : Full-time, Permanent

Hours : Monday to Friday, 09 : 00 - 16 : 30

Location : Cwmbran (on-site)

About the Role

As a Youth Tutor , you'll inspire and support young people through Jobs Growth Wales Plus (JGW+), a Welsh Government initiative helping individuals gain skills and work experience. You'll deliver engaging lessons, plan learning journeys, and help learners achieve their qualifications.

What We're Looking For
  • Experience as a tutor, trainer, or mentor for young people
