Job summary

Meadholme in Darlington is seeking a Sessional Children's Support Worker to provide compassionate care for young people aged 12 to 18 with emotional, behavioural, or learning needs. The role is sessional/bank with a salary of £27,999.72 to £29,428.49 per year (DOE) and requires experience with vulnerable children.

You will champion individual care plans, work with families and social workers, and uphold safeguarding standards while creating a warm, supportive home environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting vulnerable children or young people.
• Understanding of developmental needs across physical, emotional, intellectual, social, and educational domains.
• Collaborative team player with empathy and motivation.
• Self-motivated with ability to meet timeframes and goals.
• Emotional resilience with professionalism in stressful situations.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
• Flexible and adaptable with changing needs.
