InUnity is recruiting a Youth Programmes Co-ordinator to plan, promote and deliver engaging activities for children and young people across south Birmingham. You will support sport, arts and youth activities in community and education settings, ensuring safe participation and strong engagement with local communities.

The role requires a strong work ethic, a can-do attitude, and the ability to travel between sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, promote and deliver engaging activities for children and young people across south Birmingham.
  • Deliver sport, arts and youth activities in community and education settings, supporting young people to take part safely and confidently.
  • Prepare session plans, workshop resources, paperwork and materials needed for the activities and programmes you are involved in.
  • Support project monitoring and evaluation by completing forms, collecting information, inputting data into Views each month, and sharing relevant updates with project leads and delivery staff.
  • Liaise with programme managers, delivery staff, partners and external researchers to support meetings, events, project delivery and communication across the programmes.
  • Support other team members and freelance staff at InUnity sessions, events and programmes, as directed by programme leads.
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings, project meetings, training, networking events and any other activities relevant to the role.
  • Build positive relationships with young people, volunteers, sessional staff, partners and local stakeholders.
  • Support and mentor volunteers and younger sessional staff involved in our projects.
  • Help promote InUnity’s programmes through social media, our website and local networks, including writing short articles or updates when needed.
  • Promote the safeguarding and wellbeing of children and young people by managing conflict, challenging unsafe behaviour, and reporting any concerns or disclosures in line with InUnity’s safeguarding policy.

We believe real social change happens when programmes areshaped around local need and delivered through trusted relationships. That iswhy we work with small groups of young people over sustained periods of time,offering high levels of support to those facing significant barriers in life.

Thanks to funding from theNational Lottery Community Fund, we are looking for our next team member tojoin InUnity and support our flagship Young Brum programme across southBirmingham.

What your role will include as ourYouth Programmes Co-ordinator:
  1. Working with our small team toplan, promote and deliver engaging activities for children and youngpeople across south Birmingham.
