Role Overview

Are you passionate about making a difference to young people who’ve disengaged from mainstream education? We’re working with a fantastic independently owned Alternative Provision that offers a fresh start to students who need a different approach. This isn’t a typical classroom role – it’s about connection, patience, and consistency. You’ll work closely with small groups and individuals, helping them re‑engage with learning, build trust, and grow in confidence.

What you’ll be doing
  • Supporting students aged 11–16 with social, emotional or behavioural needs
  • Helping deliver a flexible and engaging curriculum
  • Building strong relationships and promoting positive behaviour
  • Working as part of a close‑knit and supportive team
Who we’re looking for
  • Someone with experience working with disengaged or vulnerable young people (schools, youth work, care or similar)
  • Calm, reliable, and confident managing behaviour
  • Someone who genuinely wants to make a difference
  • An understanding of safeguarding is essential – or a willingness to learn and complete safeguarding training

Safeguarding and the welfare of young people is paramount in this role. Full training and support will be provided.
