Overview

Are you enthusiastic about supporting the mental health and well-being of children and young people?

Do you have experience supporting individuals that have various Special Educationl Needs(SEN)?

In recent years there is a massive focus on supporting the mental health and SEN needs of pupils in mainstream and SEN schools. We are currently seeking practitioners to support these pupils on a 1:1 or general classroom basis to start ASAP, for the rest of the Academic Year in a range of schools across Romford (with an option of progressing onto contract with the right school).

As a Youth Mental Health Support Worker, you will be involved in not only supporting pupils within the classroom but will also be comfortable with running activities with the pupil/s outside the classroom as well. Alongside the class teacher, you will also provide support with ensuring the right support is in place for the students.

Responsibilities
  • Support pupils on a 1:1 or in a general classroom basis
  • Deliver activities and support outside the classroom as needed
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to ensure appropriate support for students
  • Provide consistent, supportive engagement to promote pupil well-being
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Experience supporting pupils in school or alternative settings is preferred
  • Open to candidates without prior experience
  • Ability to work full-time and commit for the rest of the Academic Year
  • Willingness to undertake additional training while in role
Details

This position is on a full-time basis and full support and guidance will be given. There will also be opportunities to complete additional training whilst in the role. Pay is 90-112 per day, based on experience.
