Job summary

Pontoon is seeking a Visual/UI Designer for a 6-month contract in Bristol, with a pattern of 2 days per week in the office. You will shape the visual direction for a youth-focused digital savings proposition, translating research into polished UI concepts and prototypes to drive a fintech initiative aimed at younger customers and families.

You will collaborate with a cross-functional squad, presenting design thinking to senior stakeholders and ensuring deliverables meet high visual and usability

Qualifications

• Strong UI/visual design portfolio with impact.
• Excellent visual craft and production-ready interfaces.
• Experience translating research into concepts and product experiences.
• Confident presenting design thinking to senior stakeholders in high-scrutiny environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Experience in large, complex organisations with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Shape the visual and UI direction for a youth-focused digital savings proposition.
• Translate research and insights into clear visual concepts, journeys, and high-fidelity UI designs.
• Collaborate with the Squad Lead, UX Designer, and User Researcher to validate ideas and turn insights into artefacts.
• Balance strategic thinking with hands-on design delivery for a compelling and feasible proposition.
• Create high-quality visuals for senior stakeholder presentations with clear rationale and impact.
• Work across technology, marketing, and design teams in a complex matrix environment.
