Job summary

Vision For Education Ltd. is recruiting a Youth Offending Officer for a full-time, long-term post in Newcastle upon Tyne. You will support disadvantaged students with academic and emotional needs, helping them re-engage with learning and understand behaviours to promote healthier choices.

The role requires experience with Autism/additional needs, strong behaviour management skills, and a nurturing, engaging approach. Excellent PAYE rates and a guaranteed pay scheme are among the benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with students with Autism or other additional needs.
• Excellent knowledge of and understanding of behaviour management.
• A passion for education and helping people.
• A nurturing and engaging personality.

Responsibilities

• Provide both academic and emotional support to disengaged and vulnerable learners.
• Help students re-engage with their education and understand their behaviours and emotions.
• Promote positive choices, build trust, and guide students toward constructive pathways inside and outside the classroom.
