Job summary

Equipped4Life seeks a dedicated support worker to safeguard and assist young people aged 16–21 in semi-independent homes. You will help develop independent skills and promote health, education, and social participation.

You will contribute to budgeting, daily living tasks, and safe, respectful care while maintaining records and communicating with line managers. Flexibility for on-site shifts and occasional sleeps is required.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people or challenging behaviours.
• Lived experience in the care system.
• Able to work independently and within a team.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• Willing to work flexible hours including sleeps/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard and support young people in semi-independent homes.
• Help develop independent living skills and follow support plans.
• Support budgeting, shopping, budgeting money and weekly subsistence.
• Encourage participation in education, training or employment.
• Maintain cleanliness, personal hygiene and a safe environment.
• Keep accurate records and write session reports.
