A youth work charity based in Plymouth is seeking a Youth Coach to build trauma-informed relationships with young people and support their development. The position offers both full and part-time hours with a salary of £25,769.57 per annum. Responsibilities include assisting young people in making decisions, ensuring their home is safe, and engaging with their education and employment opportunities. Youth Coach (Job Ref 25-61) – Plymouth House Supported Accommodation
Salary £25,769.57 per annum/pro rata. Permanent contract. Full and part-time hours available with shifts including weekdays 08:00 to 16:00, 14:00 to 22:00, and Sunday 09:00 to 17:00.
Build trusting, trauma-informed relationships with young people and support them to respond to their needs. Help young people to make decisions, ensure their home is a safe space, and help them have their voice heard to develop their own plan. Support engagement with employment, education, and meaningful occupation opportunities within a person-centred approach. Provide youth work interventions in our new supported accommodation to help young people develop trusted relationships with trained and experienced Youth Coaches.
Experience or lived experience relevant to youth work is welcome. Ability to listen effectively, respond with sensitivity, and work within a trauma-informed framework. Flexibility to work full or part-time hours as required by the role. Applicants should be able to work across shifts as listed.
