A community-focused organization in the West Midlands is seeking a confident communicator to engage young adults through digital platforms and in-person connections. This maternity cover role offers a hybrid working model, requiring 2 days a week in the Birmingham office. The ideal candidate will have over 2 years of relevant experience, strong social media management skills, and a passion for mission-driven work. The salary is £23,586 for 4 days a week with additional learning opportunities.
This exciting (maternity cover) role is key to encouraging young adults aged 18-30 to join our Interserve community, by harnessing digital tools and platforms and through in‑person connections. We are looking for a confident and creative communicator with a shared passion for mission, as well as at least 2 years relevant experience of an engagement or communications role.
You will have experience in managing social media channels and working with a Word Press website, using Canva to create digital media and webtools to reach young audiences. You should also have excellent interpersonal skills, be well organised with good time management and a high level of accuracy in your writing.

The role is hybrid, with a mix of time spent in our Birmingham National Office (minimum of 2 days per week) and working from home, with up to 5 days per month of national travel. The salary is £23,586 for 4 days per week (£29,483 FTE). It is a maternity cover role for one year.
