To help design our future projects we are looking for an Undergraduate Engineers to join our Derby team on a One Year Placement giving you the opportunity to co‑create on some of the most prestigious infrastructure programmes in the UK.

Your key responsibilities will be:
  • Undertake basic calculations of design work on infrastructure projects
  • Production of engineering design and details in accordance with project requirements
  • Preparation of calculations written reports and checking of drawings
  • Checking of design calculations and drawings done by other engineers
  • Visits to site as required

Required skills and qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of study on a bachelors or masters degree in civil engineering
  • Basic knowledge of engineering fundamentals
  • Be able to work in a team environment effectively
  • Have good written & verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate succinctly and effectively
  • Possess good interpersonal, planning, documentation, organisation and problem‑solving skills
  • Be a clear and inquisitive thinker
  • Evidence of research and information gathering skills
