Overview

Start date in summer 2026, full time, fixed term for 12 months. Hybrid model meaning min. 3 days per week on site including Wednesday at Newhaven; the rest can be working from home.

About the role

You will have plenty of opportunity to go offshore, gaining first-hand experience of working on offshore turbines. We will of course make sure you’re fully trained to do so – we’ll support you through full GWO training and advanced first aid.

Responsibilities
  • Gain valuable knowledge and experience of the full scope of Offshore Windfarm operations
    • Safety management and reporting
    • Liaising with stakeholders from across the business and within our joint venture partners
    • Technical turbines by undertaking turbine fault analysis and recommending modifications that will maximise output and performance
    • Identifying and capturing operational risks
    • Daily site fault reporting and daily work planning
  • Assist the team, for example:
    • Keeping our wind farms effectively maintained and operated at maximum efficiency, powering homes and businesses across the UK
    • Making decisions aimed at improving business efficiency
Job requirements and experience
  • You’re enrolled as a student in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or another associated engineering degree
  • Your degree course is eligible for a year in industry placement
  • Very good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate your own workload and meet tight deadlines
  • Comfort working in a diverse team environment with a range of stakeholders daily
  • Open to travel to other sites if needed; travel expenses will be covered by us
