Location: Doncaster, DN12
Company: Polypipe Building Products (part of Genuit Group)
Duration: 12 months starting in September 2026.
Salary: £24,000
At Polypipe Building Products, we're all about shaping a better, more sustainable future – quite literally. As one of the UK's leading manufacturers of plastic piping systems, our products help build homes, communities, and infrastructure that stand the test of time. We combine science, engineering, and creativity to make a real difference – and now we want you to be part of that journey.
We're looking for a curious, hands‑on Chemical/Process Engineering student to join our team for a year in industry. This isn't about making tea or shadowing in silence – you'll be in the thick of it, helping us design, test, and improve the processes that keep our manufacturing sites running efficiently and sustainably.
You will actively contribute to the optimisation and advancement of extrusion processes within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role focuses on performing CAPEX evaluations, including the identification and development of capital projects that enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and sustainability. Additionally, the role holder will engage in continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
Here at the Genuit Group we recognise and develop the contribution our people make to the Group's success and are committed to attracting talent from the widest pool. We have a role to play in making the built environment more sustainable, building a low‑carbon business ourselves as well as delivering sustainable solutions at scale.
