We are seeking a Year Group Lead to join our supportive team at New Horizons Childrens Academy. The successful candidate will be an experienced teacher who will be willing to play a full part in the further development of our school and our trust joining us in our aims to make learning irresistible and to provide a nurturing and safe environment for everyone.
Our Year Group Lead will ensure frequent discussion with their team to discuss learning and identify appropriate next steps. They will establish high expectations for books and ensure consistency across classes including quality and frequency of marking.
As part of the role the Year Group Lead will be responsible for year group events contributions and off site visits. They will ensure good communication with parents for year group information including curriculum and homework alongside day to day concerns or issues.
New Horizons Childrens Academy is a Good school (Ofsted May 2022) with a three-form entry that teaches over 600 children from the local community. Our aim is to provide an education that meets the needs of all our children and we expect high standards of behaviour and a positive attitude to learning.
