Job summary

TimePlan Education Group LTD in Harrow, North West London, is seeking an Assistant Head of Year for Year 9 to start asap on an ongoing long-term assignment.

You will lead pastoral care with the Head of Year, support students’ personal and academic development, and collaborate with staff to promote positive learning behaviours.

The role involves safeguarding duties, liaising with parents and external agencies, and contributing to school improvement through data and reports.

Qualifications

• Pastoral care experience would be beneficial.
• Ability to work with senior leaders and teaching staff.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.

Responsibilities

• Lead alongside the HoY to provide pastoral support for Year 9 students.
• Help identify and remove barriers to learning, including attendance and behaviour issues.
• Support in the running of the Pupil Support Unit and pupil reception on a rota basis.
• Prepare data and reports for HoYs as required.
• Liaise with external agencies and attend relevant meetings with parents.
• Maintain regular contact with parents to encourage involvement in education.
