Job summary

Moore Teachers is assisting an Outstanding-rated primary academy in finding a committed Year 6 Teacher to join a supportive school community. You will take full teaching responsibility for a Year 6 class, plan and deliver Upper KS2 lessons, and prepare pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments and secondary transfer.

The ideal candidate holds QTS or an equivalent qualification, has proven Upper Key Stage 2 experience, and demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management to raise attainment

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching within Upper Key Stage 2.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Good understanding of Year 6 expectations and assessment requirements.

Responsibilities

• Full teaching responsibility for a Year 6 class.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the Upper KS2 curriculum.
• Prepare pupils for end-of-key-stage assessments and the transition to secondary school.
• Assess, monitor, and support pupil progress.
• Create a positive, inclusive and purposeful classroom environment.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and support staff.
