Job description

A successful primary school in Manchester is seeking a skilled and motivational Year 6 Teacher to join them from January 2026. The Year 6 Teacher will provide high-quality classroom teaching that consolidates curriculum knowledge, prepares pupils for transition to secondary school and secures strong outcomes. This Year 6 Teacher role in Manchester includes leadership of assessment cycles, the running of booster sessions and liaison with parents and external providers.

  • Year 6 Teacher required for a full-time post
  • Year 6 Teacher required to work within a successful upper-KS2 phase in Manchester
  • Year 6 Teacher to prepare pupils for transition and statutory assessment, and to lead upper-KS2 learning

The Year 6 Teacher will be part of a collaborative KS2 team, take a leading role in moderation and assessment planning, and support enrichment activities that prepare pupils for the next stage. The school will provide induction before January 2026, enabling the Year 6 Teacher to plan effectively for the spring term starting January 2026.
