Year 6 Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary from January 2026

This is an exciting opportunity for a Year 6 Teacher to join a school that values high standards and pupil achievement. Duties as Year 6 Teacher:
  • Plan and deliver high‑quality lessons for Year 6 pupils in line with the national curriculum
  • Prepare pupils for end‑of‑Key Stage assessments and ensure progress towards targets
  • Assess, record, and report on pupil attainment and development
  • Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes confidence and independence
  • Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and implement effective classroom management strategies
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school events as required
Ideal Year 6 Teacher:
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and Year 6 assessment requirements
  • Previous experience teaching in upper KS2, ideally Year 6
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
