Job description

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a welcoming and high-achieving primary school in Bury to recruit a dedicated Year 6 Teacher to work two days per week (Thursdays and Fridays).

This part-time role will run until the end of the academic year, with the opportunity to pick up additional supply or cover work on other days if desired.

The Role
  • Teaching a Year 6 class on Thursdays and Fridays, delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Supporting pupils in the lead‑up to their end‑of‑year assessments and transition to secondary school.
  • Working closely with the parallel Year 6 teacher and wider KS2 team to ensure consistency and high standards.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Has experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally with Year 6.
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and strong assessment skills.
  • Is organised, flexible and able to work collaboratively with staff and parents.
  • Is committed to providing the best outcomes for every child.
