Job description
Year 6 Behaviour Teaching Assistant

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Long Term

Working Hours: 08:30 am to 04:00 pm (Monday to Friday)

Responsibilities
  • Provide dedicated support in the mornings, focusing on assisting a Year 6 student with behavioural aspects, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, including ADHD diagnosis and potential self‑harmful behaviour.
  • Offer crucial assistance in the afternoons, aiding Year 6 students and remaining flexible to work across Key Stages 1 and 2.
  • Implement strategies and interventions to manage challenging behaviours effectively.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment to promote the student’s social and emotional development.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and SENCO to ensure individualized support plans are implemented successfully.
  • Monitor and record the student’s progress, adapting support strategies as necessary.
