Job summary

Randstad Education in East Grinstead is seeking a Year 5 Supply Teacher with Upper KS2 expertise to work across a friendly local primary school network. This role offers Full-Time or Part-Time options, term-time only, with weekly pay and daily rates of £130–£160.

You will deliver high-quality lessons, support pupils in maths and English, and maintain strong behaviour and classroom routines in a varied KS2 environment.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• UKS2 specialist with solid knowledge of Year 5 National Curriculum and the social-emotional needs of 9–10-year-olds.
• Proactive and versatile—able to step into new schools, build rapport with senior pupils, and deliver the day’s plan with energy.

Responsibilities

• High-level lesson delivery that challenges Greater Depth thinkers.
• Academic progression as pupils master fractions, percentages, and multi-clause sentence structures.
• Classroom leadership to maintain a calm, respectful, and sophisticated learning environment.

Your Role as a Year 5 Specialist

As a Year 5 Supply Teacher, you are a mentor and academic lead, fostering a classroom culture of high expectations and independent inquiry.
