Job summary

Teach Plus is seeking a dedicated Year 5 Class Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Slough from November 2026. The role is full-time and focuses on delivering a broad, engaging KS2 curriculum and supporting pupils as they progress into Year 6.

You will plan and differentiate lessons, assess progress, and work closely with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents to promote high standards, inclusion and pupil wellbeing in a supportive school community.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience as Year 5 Class Teacher or KS2 role
• Strong knowledge of Year 5 curriculum and standards
• Enhanced DBS certificate with Update Service
• Right to work in the UK required

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Year 5 lessons
• Assess, monitor and report pupil progress
• Create an inclusive, positive classroom environment
• Deliver high-quality teaching in English, Maths and core subjects
• Differentiate for varying abilities and support pupils with additional needs
• Collaborate with colleagues, teaching assistants, leaders and families

Education

QTS or relevant qualification

Experience as Year 5 Class Teacher or KS2

Strong subject/curriculum knowledge
