Post: Year 4 Teacher (maternity cover)

Contract Type: Fixed Term

Working hours: Full time 1st January 2026 to 31st August 2026 Part time 0.6 1st September 2026 to 31st January 2027 (with potential opportunity for this to increase to full time)

Salary Range: M3 to M6 (FTE £37101 to £45352) dependent on experience (subject to Teachers Terms and Conditions)

We have an exciting opportunity for the right person to join our inclusive and sought after school in the heart of Staffordshire. The Governors of Baldwins Gate CE Primary School are seeking to appoint a motivated and inspirational Year 4 Teacher for Maternity Cover on a full time basis from January 2026 until 31st August 2026 and then on an 0.6 basis from 1st September 2026 to 31st January 2027 (with potential opportunity for this to increase to full time).

Baldwins Gate CE Primary School is a village school on the outskirts of Newcastle-under-Lyme with approximately 200 pupils on roll. We strive for high standards for all our pupils and inclusion underpins all we do. Our children are delightful, eager to learn and make our school a vibrant and fulfilling place to work.

You will be part of a team responsible for delivering outstanding teaching and learning to our pupils and helping them to achieve their best in all areas of the curriculum. You will act as a role model to pupils and will strive to inspire a love of learning in all.
