Year 4 Graduate Teaching Assistant
Ready to build solid KS2 experience before teacher training? Help Year 4 pupils secure the building blocks in reading, writing, and maths.
Immediate start until July 2026 • £81 - £101 per day • Note: location Wolverhampton • 1:1 and small group support across Year 4
A clear communicator who stays organised and keeps sessions purposeful. You break tricky ideas into simple steps, build rapport quickly, and follow guidance while using initiative.
This Good Wolverhampton primary is two-form entry with a diverse intake and clear routines that keep classrooms calm. Core skills are a whole-school priority: robust phonics lower down, guided reading across KS2, and a consistent maths approach using concrete–pictorial–abstract steps. Year teams plan together and share model texts, worked examples, and retrieval activities, so you’re never starting from scratch. The school runs weekly coaching drop-ins, data-light progress checks, and practical CPD you can put to work the same day. You’ll get a structured induction, access to ready-made intervention materials, and supportive leadership that values professional growth.
Send your CV and include your availability, DBS status, and two referees if possible. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a brief call and an in-school interview/observation. Apply early—the school may appoint before the closing date.
Due to the volume of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
