Job summary

Veritas Education are partnering with a Preston primary school to recruit a strong Year 2 teacher for a full-time position starting September 2026. The role requires KS1 experience, QTS/ECT, and the ability to differentiate for a mixed-ability Year 2 class.

A supportive SLT and opportunities for CpD are highlighted within a diverse school community. Pay is competitive, with daily rates between 150 and 240 depending on scale and AWR.

Qualifications

• Year 2 SAT curriculum experience is essential.
• Ability to differentiate lessons to meet all pupils’ needs.
• Strong behaviour management and classroom organisation required.

Responsibilities

• Teach Year 2 to a mixed-ability group with progression for all pupils.
• Plan and deliver engaging KS1 lessons with differentiation and assessment in mind.
• Prepare pupils for Year 2 SAT curriculum and monitor progress.

Teacher Information:

• This school is searching for a teacher that can effectively join their team and provide their Year 2 class with a high level of teaching and progression.
• This class is a mixed ability class which requires the teacher to be able to differentiate the work to meet the needs of every pupil.
• The ideal teacher will require strong behaviour management skills and be able to provide a positive working environment that will allow their students to be able to focus on the work at hand.
• The school encourage creative and interactive lessons that consistently engage the class and allows the students to work with each other.
• The school are wanting a teacher that is experienced with Year 2 SAT curriculum and also effective in assessment and ensure the pupils are achieving their absolute best. Year 2 SAT experience required.
