Job summary

Academics in Sandbach is seeking a dedicated Year 2 Primary Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a child with an EHCP and social/emotional needs. The role runs five days a week during school hours (8:30–3:30) and involves close collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt lessons and monitor progress.

You will help create a positive, inclusive atmosphere, support development of social and emotional skills, and report on progress to parents and professionals.

Qualifications

• Experience working with a child with an EHCP and social/emotional needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for collaboration with teachers and parents.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to a Year 2 pupil with an EHCP.
• Assist in setting strategies to support social and emotional development.
