Year 1 Teaching Assistant

Full‑time, temporary ongoing cover from January 2026. This role begins in January 2026 and offers ongoing temporary cover in a nurturing and inclusive school environment. Pupils are happy, safe, and enjoy their learning, supported by staff who have high expectations and provide a broad, engaging curriculum. Leaders are ambitious and ensure that pupils, including those with SEND, receive the support they need to thrive. The school fosters a strong sense of community, where pupils behave well and are proud of their achievements.

Duties as Year 1 Teaching Assistant
  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and age‑appropriate lessons
  • Work with small groups and individual pupils to reinforce learning objectives
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour support
  • Prepare learning materials and resources
  • Support pupils with additional needs, ensuring inclusive learning
  • Contribute to the overall well‑being and development of pupils
Ideal Year 1 Teaching Assistant
