Job Description
  • Deliver engaging, play-based and structured lessons in line with the KS1 National Curriculum
  • Create a stimulating classroom environment that supports early literacy, numeracy, and social development
  • Use continuous assessment to track progress and tailor learning to individual needs
  • Support phonics development through systematic programmes such as Read Write Inc. or Letters and Sounds
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, parents, and colleagues to ensure every child thrives
  • Contribute to whole-school events, assemblies, and enrichment activities
The Ideal Candidate Will
  • Have experience teaching in KS1, ideally Year 1 (desirable but not essential)
  • Be passionate about early childhood education and child development
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and differentiation strategies
  • Be committed to raising standards and nurturing a love of learning
  • Embrace a growth mindset and value ongoing CPD
  • Be confident using interactive learning tools and technology in the classroom
