TeacherActive is proud to be working with a primary school in Rochester that is seeking a committed Year 1 Teacher for a contracted position from January 2026 through to July 2026. The school is dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment where children can thrive both academically and personally.

The school is looking to appoint a driven and passionate Year 1 Teacher who can deliver high-quality teaching, create a positive classroom environment, and support pupils’ progress throughout the spring and summer terms. You will be working within a supportive team, with strong leadership committed to providing ongoing guidance and development from day one.

The successful Year 1 Teacher will have:
  • QTS (ECTs are welcome to apply)
  • Experience teaching within KS1, ideally Year 1
  • SEND experience or confidence supporting children with additional needs (preferred)
  • Excellent classroom management and a nurturing approach
