The school is seeking a Year 1 SEND Teacher from January 2026 to July 2026. You will deliver a fully differentiated curriculum tailored to the needs of pupils with a range of SEND requirements, working closely with specialist staff and families to ensure every child receives the support they need.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and adapt lessons to meet the needs of Year 1 pupils with SEND
• Create a calm, structured and nurturing classroom environment
• Work alongside Teaching Assistants and the SENCO to implement personalised learning plans
• Use assessment to monitor progress and inform future teaching
• Support pupils’ emotional, social and communication development
• Manage behaviour in a positive, consistent and therapeutic manner
• Liaise with parents, carers and external professionals to ensure coordinated support
• Maintain accurate records, reports and documentation
• Ensure safeguarding, school policies and SEND best practices are followed
• Promote independence, confidence and resilience in all learners

Qualifications
