Job summary

Travis Perkins is seeking a Yard Assistant to support customer service at our branch, processing orders, loading and unloading vehicles, and managing stock with safety as a priority.

You will unload building products from supplier deliveries, book them into the warehouse, and benefit from full forklift training where needed. We emphasize a tidy, safe environment and a friendly, customer-focused culture.

Qualifications

• This is a key customer-facing role requiring enthusiasm and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to safely handle heavy and bulky stock within health and safety guidelines.
• Experience with ordering processing, loading/unloading deliveries, and forklift is a plus.
• Willingness to work outdoors in a branch environment.

Responsibilities

• You will be based outside, processing our customer orders, loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.
• You will also unload our building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse.
• Experience of using a forklift is ideal, but don't worry full training is provided
• Safety is at the forefront of everything we do, your aim will be to ensure that our standards never slip, this means maintaining a tidy and safe working environment

• This is a key customer facing role, so you will need to be enthusiastic and have great interpersonal skills.
• Be confident in your physical ability to process heavy and bulky stock throughout the Yard, within our health and safety guidelines.
