Job summary

Balmoral Comtec Limited in Aberdeen is seeking a Yard Operator to join our on-site team. You will maintain a clean, safe, and organized yard, support waste management, and operate site equipment to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires previous labouring or yard operations experience, a valid forklift licence, and experience with forklift, JCB digger or similar machinery. You will handle industrial waste and must understand COSHH basics to ensure site safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in labouring or yard operations.
• Valid forklift licence and forklift truck operation experience.
• Experience operating a JCB digger or similar equipment.
• Experience handling industrial waste.
• COSHH awareness or training.

Responsibilities

• The Yard Operator is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organised yard environment. The role requires a reliable and conscientious individual who can work independently, support waste management activities, and operate site equipment safely and efficiently.
• Empty skips and waste containers in a safe and timely manner.
• Maintain clean and tidy skip areas, yard spaces, and surrounding work environments.
• Transport waste from production areas to designated waste storage locations.
• Remove litter and debris from yard and car parking areas to maintain site standards.
• Operate a forklift truck safely in accordance with site procedures and training.
• Operate a JCB digger and other authorised equipment to support yard operations.
